A música estreou com clipe dirigido por Petra Collins, a mesma diretora dos visuais do primeiro disco, “SOUR”, de 2021.
Em bad idea right?, Rodrigo canta sobre a saber que a pessoa que inspirou a música é um ex, mas eles podem se reconectar. A cantora parece estar dividida entre a ideia de encontrá-lo, depois de mentir para si mesma ao dizer que eles eram apenas amigos.
Os visuais do clipe dão vida para a narrativa criada na canção, retratando Olivia saindo de uma festa com os amigos para encontrar o ex e passando por muitas dificuldades no percurso. Assista abaixo.

Olivia e Joshua se conheceram durante as gravações da série “High School Musical: A Série: O Musical” e tiveram um relacionamento que resultou em término conturbado e diversas músicas sobre isso de ambos os cantores.
Após todo o tumulto que o álbum “SOUR” causou, ao relatar como Olivia se sentia com o término, os dois se reencontraram no tapete vermelho da estreia da terceira temporada da série que protagonizaram e pareciam bem amigáveis.
