A forte chuva que atinge a cidade de Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, no Sul do Estado, deixou ruas alagadas e trânsito caótico nesta terça-feira (23). Segundo a Defesa Civil Municipal, a chuva durou 25 minutos (começou às 15h50) e deixou um rastro de ruas alagadas.
De acordo com o boletim da Defesa Civil Estadual, a cidade registrou o terceiro maior volume de chuvas das últimas 24 horas: 37.59 milímetros.
Vídeos e fotos divulgados nas redes sociais mostram a situação caótica em muitos bairros da cidade, que vem monitorando, desde o fim de semana passado, a alta do Rio Itapemirim. O alto volume de chuvas na região do Caparaó fez com que o nível do rio chegasse a 2,78 m acima do leito em Cachoeiro de Itapemirim.
“Foram fortes chuvas que atingiram a cidade, que geraram muitas demandas. Agora que parou de chover e as águas estão baixando que vamos verificar os possíveis estragos”, explicou o coordenador da Defesa Civil de Cachoeiro, Elio Carlos Miranda.
No Instagram, o perfil “Vida Capixaba” publicou um vídeo mostrando a situação na Praça da Unimed, onde as ruas foram tomadas pela água.
