VÍDEOS | Chuva de granizo deixa estragos em cidades no Estado - TribunaOnline

Pelo menos três cidades da região serrana do Espírito Santo do Espírito Santo foram surpreendidas na tarde desta quinta-feira (30) com chuva de granizo. Há registro desse tipo de fenômeno em Santa Teresa, Itarana e Santa Maria de Jetibá.

A chuva começou por volta das 14h e durou cerca de 40 minutos, de acordo com o coordenador geral da Defesa Civil do município de Santa Teresa, Rodrigo Carreta.

“Recebemos vídeos da chuva e ligações de moradores. Após uma varredura, verificamos estragos na área rural da cidade, sobretudo em Várzea Grande e Alto Caldeirão”, relata.

Nesta sexta-feira (1/9), a Defesa Civil do município se reunirá para verificar os estragos nas lavouras de produtores rurais, que filmaram a forte chuva e relataram prejuízos.

O prefeito da cidade, Kleber Medici, contou que a mudança repentina no clima foi uma grande surpresa. “Não esperávamos essa chuva porque essa é uma região que estava muito seca”, conta.

Segundo ele, o granizo danificou lavouras de café, pepino e milho, além de ter provocado destelhamento de galpões na área rural.

Em Itarana, a chuva de granizo pegou um motorista de surpresa no meio da estrada. Ele gravou um vídeo de dentro do carro, mostrando as pedras de gelo caindo no veículo e no chão.

De acordo com o coordenador geral da Defesa Civil de Itarana, Charles Antônio do Nascimento, as regiões de Alto Jatibocas, Limoeiro do Santo Antônio, Alto Limoeiro do Caravaggio e Santa Luzia foram afetadas pela chuva.

Apesar disso, o coordenador do Sistema de Informações Meteorológicas do Instituto Capixaba de Pesquisa, Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural (Incaper), Hugo Ramos, informou que o fenômeno não era esperado.

Previsão para os próximos dias no Estado

O mês de outubro começa com chance de temporal e até chuva de granizo em 25 cidades do Espírito Santo. O Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (Inmet) emitiu alerta para a possibilidade desses eventos a partir desta sexta-feira (1º).

Em relação ao alerta de tempestade emitido pelo Inmet, o instituto informa que entre o meio-dia desta sexta-feira e meio-dia de sábado (2), pode chover até 50 milímetros e os ventos podem chegar a até 60km/h nessas localidades, além da chance de queda de granizo.
